If you want a companion cat in your home, a local registered rescue can explain available animals, matching, fees and ongoing care. Ask about the cat’s history and needs, and allow time for the rescue’s process. WARN does not rehome cats to households in the United Kingdom.
Symbolic adoption is a donation associated with a cat-themed acknowledgement. It offers a way to express support without acquiring an animal. Before paying at adopt a cat, read the selected funding purpose: the dog and cat meat-trade appeal covers both species.
Which appeal receives the gift?

WARN is developing grant support. Descriptions of possible care do not establish that a recipient has been approved, money transferred or treatment delivered. These are separate stages with different evidence.
Read grant selection for the checks on organisational identity, authority, welfare standards, needs and budgets. A payment receipt confirms your donation; it does not prove that a grant has already reached a field team.

How community-cat care differs from meat-trade response
Community-cat management is ongoing local work involving animals living outside household care. TNVR means trap, neuter, vaccinate and return. Where that approach is appropriate, it belongs within a wider plan for assessment, aftercare, local responsibilities and monitoring. Return is not suitable in every place or for every cat.
Care following a meat-trade interception has its own questions about lawful custody, health, possible owners and an appropriate longer-term outcome. Choose an affordable contribution without a care guarantee
Use the amount and currency options currently displayed at adopt a cat. Choose GBP if appropriate and confirm the payment frequency. Higher amounts increase your contribution; they are not prices for a set number of operations, clinic hours or cats rescued.
No verified unit costs on this page support a cats-per-pound or cats-per-dollar calculation. A future grant needs an assessed budget covering suitable staff, veterinary oversight, accommodation, aftercare and reporting. You should feel free to give less, choose a one-off amount or help by sharing.

Monthly gifts, one-off gifts and cancellation
A monthly gift is a recurring commitment to the selected appeal purpose. A one-off gift is a single contribution. Neither frequency confirms a grant, reserves veterinary capacity or guarantees a rescue. Review the current appeal terms and choose what fits your circumstances.
For future monthly payments, use manage or contact WARN through contact. If you independently arranged a standing order, manage it with your bank. Do not assume that cancelling a card subscription also stops a bank standing order.

Gift and memorial acknowledgements
If giving for another person or in memory of a cat, explain the purpose accurately: support towards the dog and cat meat-trade appeal, subject to its funding terms. It is not a replacement pet, a sponsored named kitten or a guaranteed rescue.

The memorial route at in-memory giving has its own selections; check its chosen purpose rather than assuming a cat tribute creates a cat-only restriction. Registration, tax treatment and checking another organisation
WARN is a UK Community Interest Company, not a registered charity, and cannot claim Gift Aid. Read registration status for WARN’s identity and where your money goes for the funding policy. A receipt should not be treated as confirmation of tax relief.
When comparing organisations, check the official register appropriate to their claimed legal form, current contact information, the stated use of funds and reports showing what has actually happened. An organisation’s name, website design or use of the word “charity” in a search result is not enough to establish its status.

Read adopt a cat, review the purpose and published funding status, then choose an affordable amount if the route fits your intention. Keep your receipt and return to the grant register for evidence of any later award.
