Kalimantan: assessing needs
WARN staff are currently meeting organisations in Indonesia to understand their needs and identify how we can help. Funding shortfalls have been raised in these discussions. Grant recipients have not yet been selected.
The appeal is intended to support wildlife-related fire response, recovery and prevention. Its terms explain charges, review dates and what happens if a suitable use cannot be agreed. Meeting an organisation is not a grant commitment.

Our 80% programme allocation is a planning target for unrestricted donations. It is not an achieved expenditure ratio and does not describe the balance of a designated appeal. Actual figures need a stated period, accounting basis and reconciled source.

The delivery
What the recipient did during a stated period, with appropriate expenditure evidence. Activity measures such as patrol days should be distinguished from longer-term outcomes.
The evidence
Where figures come from, who supplied them and whether they have been independently checked. Photographs need accurate dates, locations, permissions and captions.
The limits
What was delayed, changed or not achieved, and what happens next. Results funded by multiple supporters should not be represented as entirely attributable to WARN.
Education is a separate contribution
WARN publishes 491 animal guides, alongside rescue advice and comparisons. That is a count of published guides, not animals rescued or people reached. The guides help readers understand wildlife, check sources and find appropriate ways to help.
