Questions

What does 'symbolic adoption' mean?
A symbolic adoption means your monthly gift funds rescue, veterinary care and welfare work for that species — you are not taking a specific animal home. The funds go into WARN's programme and support multiple rescues abroad.
Which animals can I adopt through WARN?
You can symbolically adopt a dog, cat, elephant, tiger, orangutan or sea turtle from £5/month. Pangolin and macaw adoptions are also available. Each adoption funds frontline rescue work for that species.
Can I adopt a dog or cat to take home?
WARN does not rehome pets locally. Our dog and cat adoptions are symbolic gifts that fund street dog and community cat rescue abroad. If you want a pet at home, contact a registered shelter or rescue in your area.
Can I cancel my monthly adoption at any time?
Yes. Email [email protected] and we will cancel within two working days, with no penalty.
Can I make a one-off adoption gift instead of monthly?
Yes — on each adoption page you can choose a one-off gift amount. One-off adopters receive the same certificate and welcome pack.
