Corrections Log
Public record of factual corrections · log opened 7 August 2026
Why this page exists
WARN publishes conservation statuses, population figures, legal guidance and welfare advice, and every specific claim is expected to trace to a named primary source, as set out in our editorial standards. When we get one of those claims wrong, the fix is not made silently: the page is corrected and the change is logged here, dated, with what it said before, what it says now, and the source the correction traces to.
What counts as a correction
This log records changes to factual claims — a figure, a date, an IUCN Red List status, a legal statement or an attribution — made because the published version was wrong. Typos, rewording, new sections and scheduled re-verification updates (where the facts were confirmed, not changed) are editorial maintenance and are not logged here. Entries are never deleted; if an entry itself needs amending, a follow-up entry says so.
The log
No corrections have been logged since this public log opened on 7 August 2026. An empty log is not a claim of perfection — it is a commitment that when a factual error is found, it will appear here rather than being edited away quietly.
Report an error
If you believe something on this site is factually wrong, email [email protected] with the page URL, the claim you are challenging, and the source you believe is authoritative. Corrections that check out are published — and logged above — as soon as they are verified against the primary source.
