Adopt an Elephant
Ivory poaching, snaring and deadly human-elephant conflict claim thousands of elephants a year. Your monthly adoption funds the patrols, vets and coexistence teams that keep them alive.
In brief
To adopt an elephant symbolically, choose a monthly or one-off gift through WARN from £5/month; your adoption funds anti-snare patrols, veterinary response and coexistence work — you do not take ownership of a real elephant.

What Your Adoption Funds
Monthly adoptions are pooled into WARN's Elephant Programme and grant out to vetted partners in Indonesia and Malaysia — WARN's current in-network elephant focus.
Anti-Snare Patrols
Wire snares maim and kill elephants across their corridors. Your adoption funds the ranger patrols that find and remove them before they kill.
Field Vet Response
Your adoption helps fund the mobile field-surgery teams that dart, treat and free injured, snared and conflict-affected elephants.
Orphan Calf Care
Calves orphaned by poaching and conflict need years of care. Your adoption supports partner sanctuaries that hand-raise and rehabilitate them.

Where your adoption gift goes
WARN's target is for at least 80% of unrestricted donations to fund programme delivery — grants to partner shelters, sanctuary capacity, veterinary care and rescue across the network.
- Programme funding target
- At least 80% of unrestricted donations to frontline programme delivery — grants to partner shelters, sanctuary capacity, veterinary care and rescue.
- What the rest covers
- Essential fundraising and core governance. WARN runs without fixed offices, and volunteers carry out much of the work rather than paid staff.
- Who delivers the work
- Vetted in-country partner organisations. WARN funds and monitors; it does not run its own shelters. How partners are selected.
- Legal status
- World Animal Rescue Network CIC is a Community Interest Company — not a registered charity, and not Gift Aid eligible. Registration status.
WARN is a registered UK Community Interest Company (Company no. 17298990) and is not a charity, so it cannot claim Gift Aid. The donation case is transparent partner-led welfare where support reaches practical field needs.
Figures are illustrative of partner-led costs and are not a guarantee of how any single gift is spent.
