In brief
There are six ways to get involved with World Animal Rescue Network: donate, volunteer your skills, share our appeals, set up a corporate partnership, fundraise for us, or leave a gift in your will. Volunteering and partnership enquiries both start with one email to [email protected].
Six ways to help, at a glance
- Donate — One-off or monthly gifts fund partner-led rescue in 17 countries. From £5 a month.
- Volunteer — Remote roles in fundraising, communications, research, design and social media. No field placement required.
- Spread the word — Share an appeal, add a link to your email signature, or tell your network. Free, and it works.
- Corporate partnership — Match funding, pro bono expertise and cause partnerships for companies.
- Fundraise — Races, bake sales, birthday appeals and challenge events — we supply the materials.
- Legacy gift — A gift in your will costs nothing today and secures rescue work for decades.

If you want to walk dogs, socialise cats or foster an animal, that work happens at local shelters — and WARN is not one. WARN funds partner-led rescue overseas, so its own volunteer roles are remote and skills-based. Here is the honest route to each.
Volunteer at a shelter near you
Local shelters recruit continuously for dog walking, cat socialisation, kennel and cattery work, transport to veterinary appointments, home checks, fundraising and charity shop shifts. Fostering is almost always the role in shortest supply.
Find a shelter near you →Volunteer your skills to WARN
Remote roles in fundraising, communications, research, graphic design, social media and field logistics support. No animal-handling experience needed, and no overseas placement — frontline work is delivered by vetted in-country partners who employ local staff.
Offer your skills →Thinking about a paid wildlife volunteering trip abroad? Read whether volunteering abroad with animals is ethical first — many placements fund cub petting and unnecessary captivity.
