Adopt a Sea Turtle

Bycatch, plastic and lost nesting beaches have pushed sea turtles to the brink — only one hatchling in a thousand reaches adulthood. Your monthly adoption funds the partners who protect them.

What Your Adoption Funds

Monthly adoptions are pooled into WARN's Sea Turtle Programme and grant out to vetted partners along our coastal range countries.

🥚

Protect Nesting Beaches

Your adoption funds the beach patrols and protected hatcheries that guard nests from poaching, predators and tides.

🪝

Reduce Bycatch

Your adoption supports turtle-safe fishing gear and training so fewer turtles drown in nets and on longlines.

🐢

Rescue & Rehabilitation

Your adoption funds partner clinics that treat turtles injured by boats, hooks, entanglement and plastic, then return them to the sea.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which sea turtles are most at risk?
Of the seven sea turtle species, the hawksbill is Critically Endangered and the green turtle is Endangered on the IUCN Red List. Most species are declining, and only a tiny fraction of hatchlings survive to adulthood.
What does my sea turtle adoption fund?
Your monthly adoption is pooled into WARN's Sea Turtle Programme and granted through the current in-network coastal focus of Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil, Colombia and Pakistan — funding nest protection, bycatch reduction, and the rescue and rehabilitation of injured turtles.
Does WARN run its own turtle hatchery?
No. WARN is a UK Community Interest Company that raises funds and makes grants to, and partners with, established hatcheries, rescue teams and veterinary services. We fund frontline work rather than building WARN-branded facilities.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Email [email protected] and we will cancel your monthly adoption within two working days, with no penalty.
